Cascadia Composers opens its 2021-2022 season: with Crossing Paths—New Music of Healing and Renewal. This unique concert experience takes place in Portland’s beautiful Leach Botanical Garden . Audience members may stroll the woodland grounds in a contemplative setting between musical ensembles and sound installations creating an atmosphere of meditation and reflection. I’ll be performing new solo works for flute and alto flute from the canopy bridge, and additional musician “pods” include a duo and trio featuring Justin Bulava, clarinet; Alexis Mahler, violin; Hannah Penn, mezzo-soprano; Kate Petak, harp; and Dylan Rieck, cello.
